A little bit about me:

My journey in tech started young, back in the days of floppy disks and dial-up connections, when I was just 11 years old in Nigeria. My fascination with computers turned into a passion, and by the time I hit my teenage years, I was programming every chance I got. I was hooked on the potential to build, solve, and create something impactful—all through code.

As my career took shape, I had the privilege of working for leading companies like Oracle, Twitter, Yelp, and Level 3 Communications, where I held roles across Software Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability, and Platform Engineering. These experiences allowed me to tackle complex challenges in high-stakes environments, making sure the systems behind the scenes ran smoothly and reliably. My work has always been about engineering solutions that are both scalable and resilient, and my early exposure to tech has helped me stay grounded while working in some of the most fast-paced settings.

Currently, I’m channeling my skills into building Swiftwad, a startup that’s in the funding stage, which I’m really excited about. Even with this venture, I remain committed to growth within my career, always exploring ways to make technology work more efficiently and effectively. I’m grateful for my journey in tech, from those floppy disk days to the cutting-edge systems of today, and I’m excited to see what lies ahead.

What do I do in my spare time?

  • Family Time and Fishing: Balancing my love for tech, I enjoy unplugging and spending quality time with my family, often out by the water fishing—it’s a great way to recharge.
  • Building Projects: Whether it’s trying out a new tech stack or dabbling in personal projects, I love coding just as much outside of work. Exploring different technologies keeps my skills fresh and my curiosity alive.
  • Outdoor Adventures: When I’m not in front of a screen, I’m an outdoor enthusiast. I enjoy hiking, camping, and exploring nature; there’s something about getting outside that resets the mind.
  • Traveling: From strategy games to the latest first-person shooters, gaming has always been a fun way for me to unwind and immerse myself in another world.

This blend of work and play keeps me grounded, driven, and always ready for the next challenge—whether that’s launching Swiftwad or tackling a new role in the tech industry.
